Great Eggspectations and Other Montreal Stories | Gridskipper

Gridskipper has, once again suggested somewhere to eat in Montreal. This time, however I think they've missed the mark somewhat. Although Eggspectation, is a fine place for "morning after the night before" breakfast, I think any of the many Chez Cora locations are a better bet. Or, if you don't mind waiting in line (generally required at Eggspectation) and prefer a quality, independent restaurant try our favorite: Beauty's - 93 Ave du Mont-Royal Ouest - 514-849-8883.

Which has inspired Cantraveller to come up with a list of our favorite breakfast, lunch and dinner locations in some of Canada's major cities. We're going West to East so stay tuned for Vancouver's list some time this week.

As always, suggestions are welcome:

Sleeping in Airports | In Flight Blog

In Flight Blog alerts us to a web site I saw years ago and I'm grateful for the reminder. The Budget Traveller's Guide to Sleeping in Airports is a surprisingly extensive list of, well... what it says. The site is made in Canada and covers airports (and other locations) world-wide. Definitely worth checking out.

L'Avenue du Plateau and Other Montreal Stories | Gridskipper

Gridskipper suggests the best club sandwich (in the world?) can be had at L'Avenue Du Plateau in Montreal. I intend to research that claim this weekend. In the meantime, I'll reccomend my favorite club: It can be ordered from the bar menu at Epic in the Fairmont Royal York.
